Why
did you create these options for homeowners?
Diane
worked in a traditional real estate company and then was with a Remax
franchise before opening her own office,(Click here for Story of
Remax Consultants) After reading several articles predicting that
real estate transactions will be serviced for a fee, Diane realized there
was a need for other options when selling a home.
Diane put together a list of every service a real estate company
could provide and attached a fee to it.
Then, realizing that most people wanted a fixed number fearing how
long their home would take to sell, she added the Flat Fee option. Diane
figured out about how much money it costs to sell a home for a client,
including her time and her staff’s time.
The price of a home does not change the amount of work that a
consultant does to sell a home. If anything, the lower priced homes are
more time consuming as you are working with first time buyers.
How
much money can you save me?
It depends upon your home. For example, the Browns saved $6,200 when
selling their home that sold for $215,000.
The Barkers saved $9,300 when selling their home that sold for
$269,900. Usually the higher the price of your home, the more you can
save, as the traditional 6% fee is higher for the higher price homes.
Can
I use one of your options if I do not have internet access?
Yes, definitely. We have been selling homes for a flat fee for 2 years now
and are just bringing the program online for those people who rather
communicate that way. Either
way, we strive on personal relationships with our clients.

REMAX Consultants, and will work one-on-one with her and her team of
consultants.

Most REMAX owners have several agents working in their company, each one
working their business the way they want to. The clients are not the
company's clients, they are the agent's clients. At Remax Consultants,
Diane Cardano's staff and consultants work for all the clients of Remax
consultants. So when you call
the office, everyone knows who you are, what your goals are and there is
much more personal service.
Will
Realtors Still Have An Opportunity To Sell My Home?
Selling your home on either the Flat Fee or Menu of
Services option still allows Realtors to have an opportunity to
sell your home. Other agents will receive a fee if they sell your home.
You are not keeping agents from making a living.
If they have a buyer who wants to buy your home, we work with those
Realtors also. The fee you pay another Realtor will be discussed at our
consultation. You do not have to pay 3%, however, in most cases a Realtor
will not show your home if the fee is not 3%.
What program is best for me, and which is the
most popular?
The
program you choose really depends upon how much time you have to
contribute to the process and how much money you want to save. For
example, you may want to save money but the additional money you would
save by choosing a different option may not be worth the time you would
have to spend. Many people do
not have the time to spend on selling their home, so they choose the Flat
Fee option versus the Menu of Services. The Flat fee program is the most
popular.
